Bricks upon my shaky foundation
I loved  so much that I ignored the truth
I waited for release yet the court ruling was life sentence

Chambers of Absence

Lost deep within,
Right in the chambers of my house,
I miss her.
I hear her voice echoing through the walls,
Singing songs whose lyrics slip from my grasp.
It is dark and empty without her;
Windows wide open, curtains billowing.
Everything feels frail and dull without her.

So close,
So near,
Yet so achingly far
Just out of reach.

Lost deep within,
She is blind to my sight,
Deaf to my call;
A shadow in my quest.

So far,
So much further,
Yet still in my heart's embrace.
I miss her.

A deep longing pierces
My hollow frame,
The cavity's vacuum
Grows deeper and wider.

On the staircase, I spot stains of crimson,
Marking my ever-so-perfect carpet of pretense
And forced smiles.
Everything is crumbling,
Right before
Right within.

Lost deep within,
I fear she might fade in these shadows.
Help me search for her;
Help me love her enough
For her to show her face.

I miss her.
I’ve missed her too many times.
I don’t want to miss her again;
I want to have her.
